Hamish Murray

Hamish first started studying Purbeck’s wildlife almost 40 years ago when he began work as a countryside ranger at Durlston Country Park. Since then, he has spent countless hours closely observing, sketching and painting the wonderfully varied wildlife of this special place. Most mornings he still does the ‘early rounds’: notebook in hand, binoculars and camera round his neck.

Hamish played a key role in the restoration of Durlston Castle and is particularly excited to be holding this exhibition at the Fine Foundation Gallery which has been such an important part of the whole project.
